Stressed at Work?

There are instances when you wish things were different, wish we had taken a different decision or wish that we were not where we are professionally or personally. Well, it might be of some comfort to know that you are not alone.

What is Stress?

Stress is what we think we experience when we are in a situation where we don’t want to be. ‘It is how you’re interpreting what’s happening to You’.

Reasons for stress at work could be working long hours, working too hard, work that is monotonous, Inadequate support from line manager, job security, poor communication, conflict with colleagues/manager etc. No matter what the reason is, there is no use looking for a temporary solution like go on vacation, listen to music, take a coffee break etc because you are coming back to the same old situation. These breaks can only give you relief for that moment.

What you need is a Permanent solution.

A solution where you go back to the same situation and don’t get stressed! I’m certainly not talking about a Miracle. Chose how to respond to the situation at hand, check your interpretation of the situation and chose to interpret it differently.

It’s Simple. Use your Power of Choose.

We all have the choice to choose what we want to see, either the half filled glass or the half empty one. It’s a matter of training our brain to use that power. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) has tools and techniques to teach our brain to function in such a way that stress becomes history.
